1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using anonym.legal ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Platform

anonym.legal provides PII (Personally Identifiable Information) detection and anonymization through web, API, and desktop applications. The platform uses Microsoft Presidio for entity recognition and anonymization.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to use certain features of the platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Token System and Billing

4.1 Token Mechanics

The platform operates on a token-based system. Each operation consumes tokens based on text length and detected entities. Coefficients are configurable and the current values are visible at /pricing and in your account dashboard. As a guide, short inputs hit a floor of about 4 tokens for analyze; above 1 000 characters at GUI defaults the cost scales at roughly 1 token per 312 characters. The exact cost is shown before each operation.

4.2 Plans

Free: €0/month, 200 tokens per 30-day cycle, TXT files up to 1 MB, no API access, no batch processing, no top-ups.
Basic: €3/month, 1,000 tokens per 31-day cycle, API access, batch up to 5 texts, PDF/DOCX/TXT/CSV up to 5 MB, top-ups at €1 for 250 tokens.
Pro: €15/month, 4,000 tokens per 31-day cycle, API and MCP Server access, batch up to 10 texts, all file types up to 10 MB, top-ups at €1 for 300 tokens.
Business: €29/month, 10,000 tokens per 31-day cycle, API and MCP Server access, batch up to 50 texts, all file types up to 20 MB, top-ups at €1 for 350 tokens.

4.3 Token Expiration

Token allocations reset at the end of each billing cycle (30 days for Free, 31 days for paid plans). Unused tokens do not roll over to the next cycle.

4.4 Top-Ups

Top-up tokens are available on Basic, Pro, and Business plans at the rates listed in section 4.2. Top-up tokens are purchased separately and expire at the next cycle reset; they do not roll over. Refunds for unused top-ups are governed by applicable consumer-protection law and our refund policy.

4.5 AI Entity Creation

Creating a custom AI-powered entity costs 50 tokens per request, deducted from your current cycle balance. This cost may change with prior notice and is reflected in your dashboard before each request.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or related systems
Interfere with or disrupt the platform or its servers
Use automated systems to call the platform in a manner that sends more requests than a human can reasonably produce
Resell or redistribute access without authorization
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

6. Data Processing

6.1 Your Data

You retain all rights to the text you submit for processing. We do not claim ownership of your data.

6.2 Processing

Text submitted for analysis or anonymization is processed in real-time and is not stored after processing is complete. We do not use your information to train models or for any purpose other than providing the platform.

7. Platform Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the platform at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The platform, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by anonym.legal and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT PII DETECTION WILL BE 100% ACCURATE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, anonym.legal SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in the app. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
